The town Filled with people Of such ignorance The town Filled with people Of such lonely hearts The time I visited Simpletown The time I loathed my visit To Simpletown The days were long The nights were short The people visited With simplicity overpowering life Thoughts were not thought of Feelings were not felt out Minds did not matter They loved to gossip But tried to avoid Being a victim of it For if you were, It was the end of yourself Oh dear, I am too complicated For Simpletown I think too much and express all to well For the hell that is Simpletown I bring up things that could get me killed So they all thought, in that town But no one can deny That I heard all of their cries, Knew all of the loneliness, And felt the oppression of life In a simple, yet complicated town I am allowed to come and go as I please While they are stuck in a confusing community The solution to their problems Is quite... Simple They must pack up and leaveThis is a story/poem about a small town that should not exist Written February 13th, 2002 © on Feb 13 2002 06:40 AM PST 10 • 0
