A Moment
By Abilene
I looked at him & saw my life as it was when I held no joy. No joy I had within myself- only for him. During the moment our eyes connected, I became desensitized. His green eyes were now a muddy moss, his pupils big & unattractive. Our glance became a bug of the most minuscule size and left by way of the window. I thought & asked myself why I had cried oceans for those eyes, now so usual & uncaring. I didn't have time though, to ponder the idea- my eyes too, lost their color.
