Premature Truth

By Abilene

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

He's over the bridge now And it's burned like all the others My tale is a long one And it's name is no further ours Never imagined he'd go back to the green past Sick with deceit & noxious fume Memory always finding it's way back To the womb Only reason to justify the things He's done Poor lad, my creature has sunk Say, finally it is so- Curtain, descend for the final time I'll say it now- this premature truth- that the only element we have to share Is the sand under our shoes.
