Sputter Lovin'

By Adam Gaucher

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

There's a deer in you back yard so you bring your Jazz band.  You proceed out the sliding glass door and you begin to dance the charleston.  The band is accompanying you and you're having a good time when the deer begins to dance as well. The two of you on hind legs dance together for a while and the circle of grass you inhabit rises into the air and starts to spin rhythmically.  Out from the hole beneath you rises studio 54 in all its glory while in the center stands Andy Warhol.  He smiles as all physical matter is swallowed into his dark dark glasses like a black hole falling fast to slumber with a most beautiful cheese sandwich digesting in its stomach.
