crane at the hearts well
By aiwaz
deep in a well where the blind fish swim i found a song echoing from the black with in i caught the fish that sang it clear silver and smooth and flipping with fear- you are a crane she says and i am the fish of yr beak i know but its not like that i says, i wont break yr neck, or spill yr blood i live to hear you speak. all these fish with their cold dead eyes, ill let swim to their dreary lives if only once you sing that song that baited my hearts sigh... with these words i opened my beak and down to the drink she fell. as she swam away i thought of feathers and scales and the foolish depths this hearts well.
