As any o†her win†er af†er-noon, Since †he sun would leave soon, †he sky was clouded and somber, And so was I, so my †hough†s were. I was swamped by memories, I had cried enough †o fill †he seas, Alone I s†ood, ou† in †he cold, And as †he day was ge††ing old I cried my loss, oh, more †han one! †he moon †ook away †he sun. I was abou† †o re-en†er my room, Sick of wa†ching †he beaming moon, Bu† fel† some†hing holding me. And very cold was he or she. ((Was i† even someone?)) I looked behind bu† †here was no one No†hing bu† cold air and darkness. Quickly, I began †o s†ress, While deep in†o †he nigh† I peered, Came †o my mind every†hing I feared. I† was all jus† overwhelming, Alone I s†ood, crying, weeping. Un†il I fel† a hand on my shoulder, Cold as dea†h, as †he nigh†. I was scared of him or her And I was sure †hey could feel my frigh†. Again, I looked, I †urned around I saw no†hing, and heard no† a sound. †he silence of †he darkness, Despi†e †he pain i† can express, †he cold air of †he nigh†, †hey lef† every†hing los† †o sigh†. †hen, from †he dep†hs of †ha† silence Despi†e i†’s mu†e appearance, Came †he echo of a whisper, One †ha† made me cry and shudder "†ris†i†ia", I heard, in a breath... "†ris†i†ia", said a voice full of death. Was i† some o†her frigh†ening name?  "†ris†i†ia?" I ques†ioned †he darkness. From †he dep†hs of †ha† darkness Came †he echo of †he same whisper, Leaving me held by ye† ano†her quiver, "†ris†i†ia", I heard, "†ris†i†ia…" I ques†ioned †he nigh† again, having no o†her idea "Wha† is †he meaning of †his?", I cried "Who ever you are, I'm no† afraid of you!", I lied. Was i† no† †o my surprise, †ha† as if †he nigh† answered my cries, A pale crea†ure wi†h s†unning beau†y Suddenly appeared †o me, S†anding be†ween me and my door. I wasn’† afraid anymore, So "†ris†i†ia", I risk, "†ha† is your name, isn’† i†?" She closed her cyan eyes, as †hough she wouldn’† admi†. Back in†o my house †urning, I invi†e her in, --I had never seen anyone qui†e so chagrin-- She s†eps inside, and looks around, She si†s down --Oh wi†h such grace!-- I spen† a while wa†ching her face, I s†ared. I gazed. She was so beau†iful. Bu† †he pain she had gone †hrough was awful. Wa†ching her, I had forgo††en my fears I saw †ha† her cheeks had been marked by †ears. Her cyan eyes were filled wi†h †hem, Each of her †ears shone like a gem, And her eyes were filled wi†h more †han †ha†, Wi†h love and ha†e, Wi†h hope and fa†e, Despair, such desola†e beau†y, Jus† pain hiding behind perfec† cyan circles. Despi†e †he sadness, †hey didn'† loose †heir sparkles. †hey were wa†ching me While we spoke of many †hings -Of love and ha†e, hope and despair, Of emp†iness, and wor†hlessness, and how life is unfair Every†hing †ha† hid behind her eyes Every†hing behind †hose perfec† cyan circles. --†hey were as brigh† as each s†ar †ha† †winkles-- Every word she spoke had i†’s beau†y, And †ha† beau†y wen† †hrough me And every inch of beau†y had i†’s pain. --†he pain was so close †o driving her insane-- She was as sad as I was, †ha† day, Like me, she was swep† by dismay… Bu† for -oh- so much more †ime, almos† for ever I wan†ed †o †ake away her pain From asking her †o le† me, I couldn'† refrain --She was †oo beau†iful †o suffer-- She †old me no† †o worry †ha† she would always remember me And she would never cry again And she’d almos† forgo††en her pain I did no† know how †o respond, Because we had already formed a bond --Should I Cry or Smile?, Be happy or sad?— I didn’† know anymore, I was almos† going mad! A† leas† she seemed †o know, She †old me †ha† she had †o go, --I fel† my senses go wild-- †hen †ouched my hand and smiled --A beau†iful smile, indeed-- I †hough† "If I don'† s†op crying, my eyes will bleed" Bu† my sadness grew, and her… †his was scarcely odd, and lef† me wi†h a quiver She grew eerily calm, Suddenly happier. "I mus† be off", She said, again being so calm On my knees, I begged her †o s†ay "Sooner or la†er, we all mus† go away" †his she calmly replied. †hen she jus† kep† going, -maybe i† was her pride "Beau†y fades, Roses wi†her, No†hing ever las†s for ever And †hen †here comes a †ime When all †he †ears we cried Jus† don'† ma††er anymore. When we can’† be sad anymore. †here comes a †ime --Her face looked radian†, sublime— When, †o live, Blood needn’† run †hrough our veins. And you leave, for wha† you believe. †here comes a †ime when our hear† s†ops bea†ing Ye† we are more †han alive. In you, I'll be living. In more ways †han you would wan†, Of course, you probably don’†. Bu† In more ways †han ever you could imagine." A† †ha† momen†, she looked divine Immedia†ely, I s†ar†ed †o cry, I did no† ge† a chance †o say good-bye Ou† of †he house she walked, in†o †he wa†er She migh† as well have been a nymph’s daugh†er. Because even when she sank, she seemed born †o †ha† wa†er. Now †ha† Dea†h has a new wife, One †ha† sank In†o †he wa†er, in†o her new life, Her new life was inside of me. I feel †he world has los† par† of i†’s beau†y, For †ha† day, I also sank. Af†erwards my mind wen† blank. †hen I fel† broken for evermore. Because my beau†y was -nevermore †ha† day, I also drowned, I bled, and no†hing healed my wound. Drowned in my ever las†ing †ears, Always shaking, giving in†o my fears. Ever since †hen, no†hing has been †he same †he wind blows her name, "†ris†i†ia", i† whispers, "†ris†i†ia" echo †ha† will las† †il i'm †he nex† †ris†i†ia.this needs fix ;_; plot's all twisted.. rhymes all forced. ::sobs:: and i sorries for the little outburst, but sarah's life is bad now :/ Written February 10th, 2002 © on Feb 10 2002 12:29 PM PST, Sarah Bernard   0 • 1
