Over the edge..

By allagory

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I looked over the edge of my couchout the window watching leaves lightly tip-toedown the street speaking to each otherwith their breath called the windI walk up the green hill with theorange and yellow leavesI watch them slowly dieknowing they want me to save thembut I walk on knowing there is nothing I can doI know of the people who think they canwanting to save everyone and those who don't to save themselves the dissapointmentI know of all the beautiful girls who look at meand I at them, wondering if I'm on their mindsBut only being concerned with the onewho see's me through her hazel eyesIf I could just love her once againjust the chanse to feel her softness and thecalousness of her love, for her to touch me withher want for me. Oh wher my amagination can take melike a bird into the sky, but one that has to land.and soon become like the leaves that are dying. Written October 31st, 2001 © on Oct 31 2001 05:41 AM PST   0 • 10
