Mr. Bossman
You bust your ass day after day and he just barely knows. You've worked for him for 18 yrs. and your paycheck barely shows. Bonuses are few and far between, you bring in most the profit. The others seem to work as hard, but they can't seem to top it Clients come in 2 by 2, and you can't get a break. Lunch is becoming obsolete so overtime you must take. Phone calls coming all the time you pass some on to another. When other workers are out or sick, their asses you must cover. Confrontations face to face as why he can't deliver. Your face gets hot, your teeth clamp down, your hands begin to quiver. Your 3,000 dollars away from a goal. The goal is pretty high. "Do you think you deserve it?" is what he says, with that you think you'll cry. A big company moves into town, threatens to take you away. You wave goodbye, say "kiss my ass" too bad I just can't stay. Written March 9th, 2002 © on Mar 09 2002 02:50 AM PST 0 • 10
