The Frog And The Rose
As the princess walks along the Chrystal Lake, she comes across a rose bush.A red, red, rose she would take. As she bent down,to smell the fragrant flower, a splash was heard. The lake she began to scower. A leaf in the water, maybe a bird? As her hand went into the thorny bush to pick the ruby red rose. A sobbing she heard, cocking her ear closer, she froze. She looked closely into the space between newly grown thorns. There sits the rainbow frog, crying as he mourns. I have watched you for years, inside your ivy covered walls. Have heard your beautiful voice inside those long, lonely halls. Yet I have never seen, the way you walk in splendor and in grace. Nor have I ever seen the beauty of your luminicent face. I've sat here for years thinking there was no other thing so lovely. Yet here you are,the one I've watched from afar, like an angel hovering above me. For you I would pick this flower, blood from the thorn prick flows. To give you one single, long stem beauty. The fragrant petals of this ruby red rose. Every so sweetly, she takes the lovely rose. Every minute his love for the Princess grows. She wonders if a gentle kiss would make him a handsome Prince. She heard too many fairty tales for it to make sense. She kissed him ever so sweetly, upon his colorful cheek. Her eyes closed so tightly, she was afraid to peek. Before her eyes a miracle of loveliness was born. For he had not been a Prince, but a beatiful white Unicorn. She climbed upon his silky back, he licked her on her hand. They galloped off deep into the night, to their Never Never Land.
