Deranged world Born of aesthetic desires Adorned with protective layers Obsessed with physical perfection Afraid to remove the outer mask Feelings incomplete to love oneself Duck into the favorite alley of plastic A vat of knives and anesthesia Firm breasts, new face, tummy tuck A hollow image, competition abounds Eating disorders, depression, suicide Reflective of societal attitudes Creating a fantasy world Of erroneous proportions Personalities thrust into mainstream media Coerced to gain perfection Scientific breakthroughs, medical research Cloning babies in laboratories Enhancement of embryos Attaining physical attributes A conception of deception Robots handed to new mothers Moral, ethical?
