Part man, part beast Disengaged from reality An involuntary fault A haunting tormented animal Warrior of his own soul Embedded in portals of darkness Excessively fatigued Battle within himself Terminus of a branch of evolution Obsolete of his own kind Circling a thousand years Falling from the rim of a high place Her beauty entrancing like a painting Breathing life into his desolation She brought to him a diverted path Finding meaning to all the footprints Ones that had led him to her heart Traveling many distant miles Finding his home, his loneliness dissolved Yet his words tremble for this sovereign lady Whispering to her the visions Relieved of his burden, shackles unbind His head lay upon her warm breast Shielding him from his own war Dark eyes beholding emotions of regret In the merciless wave of time Living with dust on his heart His Princess, a radiance of comfort His heart bleeds for her A soft enlacing of love’s power One moment in time Solace from the beast within The warrior’s battle is wonThis is a poem wrote for the "Survivor" challenge.
