Angels Of war

By Ashley Bright

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I’ve watched the sun sink down, Just below dear loved one’s sky, Where twilight flirts, with nighttime stars, And a million cartoon ships, sailing far away, Buttercup lands, and tired naked soldiers, mix well, I’ll fight in the war again, We’ll meet in the war again, Can’t wait to survive this war again, I’ve watched the satellite lose direction, Just above, where sinful angels slept, And millions of people are dreaming of their sea, Wax molded scenes, and restless bare children are free, I’ll lose you in the war again, I’ll find you in the war again, Can’t wait until this war finally ends once again, I’ve watched your daughters cry for you, Just waiting for you to come home soon, And millions of prayers are dancing with the skies, Candle wishes, kept your hand in mine, (we won’t let go) I’ve missed you in this war once again, You’re lonely in this war once again, Can’t wait to see you after this war, once againAnd this war...we live everyday Written October 4th, 2001 © on Oct 04 2001 01:48 PM PST    0 • 1
