Birthday balloon
By ashylovesbp
As I walked down the street I saw a small boy He held in his tiny hands a balloon Not just any balloon A birthday balloon Red and shiny and new This was the start of a chain of memories Starting with when i was very young Hlding a birthday balloon just the same Sometime ago when i was very small I Held a birthday balloon in my hand And in the other,I held my mothers My mother protecting me from the cars Protecting me from all feared she guided me, and smiled on me cause she new that i was her girl I know that some where near My mother will protect me from all feared and keep me close and tight and keep me in her arms Sometime ago when i got older I didnt have my birthday balloon I didnt have my childish wish for a simple red balloon I wanted Something more than a balloon something bigger, something better maybe a car, or stereo, or bar of simple goodness but maybe not maybe somewhere deep down in there i still wanted that balloon That balloon by my side when mom wasnt around to protect me from all feared Who knows maybe we all need a bright birthday balloon something to make us happy or glad or to makes us not so sad but i know that as i walked down the street and looked at that small boy that something clicked inside my head as spoke to me softly and calmly Remember when you were little Remember all those days that you walked along the street with a birthday balloon in your handIs this any good Written February 10th, 2002 © on Feb 10 2002 04:53 AM PST 0 • 18 • 13
