December Tears
As the sun came up this morning It didnt seem so bright Still she taught me to see in the darkness Things most cant see in the light She'd slay the monsters that lived in my closet Just to ease my fears The bravest person I ever knew As I grew throughout the years I heard her voice in the wind today As I turned to see her face The cold winter wind caressed me As I stood silently in place Now these flower petals on the ground Mark the place where my precious one lies They will blend with the rain and become of the earth As these tears fall from my eyes Kneeling in the damp grass With my cheek against the stone As long as it rains and the wind blows I will never be alone She is gone but not forgotten Her love remains behind She will live in me forever Love knows no space or timeI wrote this for my grandmother a few years ago....she was and is the light of my life....the contributor of all good in me....
