Mystical Garden
Through the shadows and foggy mists of my mind I was searching Hopeful at first Optimistic that I could find One so rare Lost and alone Seemingly abandoned Carelessly wandering to and fro I stumbled upon a garden Hesitant to enter its gates Whispers called me to venture in Once inside I was certain this garden was different Like no other I had ever walked Peace filled the air I drank it in Like it was a gift to welcome me There were walls all around Yet they were not there to capture or hide Silent and strong They protected all that was within Existing only as a shelter Never a prison Down every path Everywhere I turned There was an essence of peace I found myself soothed beyond my wildest imagination Had this place been created for me? Was this wonderful place a dream? A hypnotic sound of music played The melody felt immortal and timeless My soul felt restored From the moment of entrance into this gorgeous refuge I felt whole…real…and free The garden was my source of all that I envisioned All things encircled within one place I must wander its paths of discovery forever Eternally I will nurture all that grows within I am home Written April 12th, 2002 © on Apr 12 2002 01:29 AM PST, Sheila Morgan 18 • 0 • 8
