Question

I am trying to appreciate the poetry of love. Abstract as the word feels right now I have been told it can exist in bliss. My love is a stirring of the imagination, an echo of emotions. Questions arise continuously as I grow older alone. Does love depend on attraction, compatibility or simple fate? Can it reside solely in our hearts or be purely spiritual? (maybe even lustful?) Love in all senses of the word is simple to literalize and easy to neglect its soulfullness. Maybe we should deal first with our own image of love. Arrive at a profound sense of what it is in the life of the soul. Then think of our partners, past and present. To build a future structure we could be truly happy within. Although who wants to live in walls of planned structure. I know my spirit wilts with every monotonous pathway I venture. Conformity bores me. What I dont know are the secrets to a healthy loving relationship. So if you could tell me your ideal love I will learn from your triumph and beware of your mistakes.99, Written February 14th, 2002 © on Feb 13 2002 04:51 PM PST 10 • 0 • 8
