When you get older you begin to understand

Warning some might be bothered by the content.Really not a poem or well written. Just me thinking out loud. I thought I'd have this body forever. I'd wear a short skirt , low cut top and my point became valuable. Well to men anyway. I look at it now as tits of steel. Nipples who invite without words. I was so mistaken to fixate on my blessing in disguise. Time happens, and the illusion that beauty is who we are, becomes well unimportant. You realise that you are a person. A human being with thoughts and words even opinions. I know its hard to believe when you are young but growing older is a blessing. Men hear me now, respect and value me now. I am capable. I dont spread my legs to get a point across. I'm no authority but the point was never heard anyway. Written February 19th, 2002 © on Feb 19 2002 04:54 AM PST 0 • 10
