Blue Eyes
By bartman
I see him vividly and vaguely at the same time In plaid patterned pants, In baseball caps. He has risen like Jesus And died like Spring each in tiny parts. Sounds surround ears, then fall away, Eyes hold eyes for that one second, create a memory The combination of a physical look And an electric jolt inside. Your roses bloom, then wilt, Look down at themselves, self conscious As I am now, Under your stare, Aware Of a certain amount Of beauty lost, Yet love endures Like distant thoughts Of eyes as blue As the summer is long.
