The lonesome party
By benafim
The Lonesome Party It had been a long night, full of empty bottles of wine. From the balcony I saw the sunrise, it painted the sky red blinding me, while sparrows chirped and pecked skin off my skull. Knew there was a bottle left, the one I had, with a green pencil, labelled: Morning Wine. Only I had forgotten where it had sought refuge. Went into the loo sat there when three elves came in, two jumped up on the washing machine, the third got a stool climbed up and peed into the sink. ”Get Out!” I said, but they ignored me kept telling jokes I had heard years before. “By the way I know were the bottle is, I said triumphantly. It’s in the washing machine.” Deeply disappointed they shut up and left. I also remembered that it was New Year only I had forgotten which year.
