They come not knowing what's going onThey've been taken from their family And given to you to love and care forThey stay for awhileAnd you never want them to goYou'll have to say goodbyeThey'll have to goThen the day comesWhen you have to say goodbyeYou know you'll never forget themFor they will always be in your heartthe poem is about foster children coming and living with you and then without warning the agency takes them away and places them somewhere else. my parents have been foster parents for 9 years.
