Twas the night b4 xmasAnd on IRCMost chatters were afkProb sitting by their treeThe bots were sitting in the chans with careIn hopes that no splits would send them through the airAnd Hammy at his pc, and I at my CompaqWe'd just gotten ready to do a t/o attackWhen my status window starting flooding like crazyI sprang from my seat to see what was so hazyScrolling up the page, not being bored,I suddenly realized, the guy had been ignoredWith a sigh of relief, my script is great, no doubtI watched in amazement as bots and chatterers started to ping outWhen what to my wondering eyes should appearBut some lame takeover dude, with his goons in the rearWith some bigshot, who thought he was leetWe knew in a moment our hosts would be mince meatHammy and I looked and listened for pingsAs the takeover dude started to sing'I got #beginner, #chataway, #hottub and #casual, #chatzone, #cybercafe and #teen, isn't that special? All the main channels on IRC, they all belong to me Me ME!'Hammy and I started to talk in query,This guy was lame and definitly dreary,Accross the chans, he flewWith a hundred proxys and 50 bots tooAnd then in a moment we heard in the roomThe wav sounds of clones, entering with a boomAs I was looking away and turned aroundInto the channel, came the clones with a boundBeeping and trying to flood me offMy status window started to coughWe looked around for someone grandBut there was no one to lend us a handHammy and I got together and made out a planWe'd DOS him and take down that manWe worked really hard and it sure payed off fineThat lamer take over guy, fell off his lineWe went to the channels, and got the ops backAnd waited for the real ops, to fix up their hackWhen the changes were made, and the bots all had passesWe opened the doors and let in the massesWhen Hammy and I go ready to goWe hoped that everyone would get on, soI heard him exclaim when he decided to quit, Hammy has quit IRC (Merry Christmas to all, Get along with each other, don't be a git!)You'll only understand this if you have been on IRCnet or one of the other nets that use MIRC Written November 30th, 2001 © on Nov 30 2001 12:08 PM PST   0 • 14
