'As you stand there.'
By blackheart
Flashing light and siren loud, Screaming past my darkened stare. Looking through some frosted glass, I see you standing there. You stand amongst the mayhem, No worries... not a care. Your beauty will astound me, As long as you are there. Your wondrous glow, against the night. Your glowing warmth, makes soothing sight. For my eyes, and my fiery mind. Without your light I’d soon be blind. Blind to all the goings on. Sightless to the hustle bustle. You open up my eyes. So I can see. You glisten as the rain sets in. You sparkle in the down pour. You make me feel loved, As I’m stuck behind this door. Your there through every weather, Through the fog, the snow, and damp. You always see me through each day... My friend, my love… my forever orange street lamp. Written January 18th, 2002 © on Jan 18 2002 04:24 AM PST, harry luck 0 • 10
