'My light.'
By blackheart
Searing with the sunbeams, I embrace it’s tender roast. Cloud within my lung… A haze so sweet becomes my host. Loitering within me, Swallowing my soul… Making neat the chaos, Mending little tiny holes. Sight swirled eyes forgive, The rage inside my write. A salt within my wound now washed, … you are my only light. Pick my matter grey, Fill my skull with perfect day. Lest I could forget, The forage I complete, whilst you are away. For; Tranquility. Serenity, Equanimity, And contentment. But still I manage not to locate, These things that slowly faze my ache. Peek upon the carousel, I stick to permanently. Round and round and round and round. I’m dizzy. Suck me into vacuum, Empty out my wits. Replace the void with fury, Remind me this is it… The day I have to disappear, Retreat for good this time. I have not heart to say goodbye, So instead I’ll leave you with these lines; Perhaps you will remember, The eyes that used to smile. The passion sometimes raised. A heart that once did beat a while. Perhaps you’ll take a moment, To admire that I tried. I never stopped to think sometimes, But, I never, ever, lied. Perhaps for me you’ll laugh, At the times that ushered by… Remember only all the days, I smiled. Turning with the sunbeams, I’ll hold the one I long for most, I will forever guard you, If only as untimely ghost. Casting shadows never, I soar towards the sun… Seeking out my future, After all, my day is young. Sight swirled eyes remember, The days I held you tight, Remember for a moment… … you are my only light. Written January 20th, 2002 © on Jan 20 2002 02:46 AM PST, harry luck 0 • 10
