Loud Are the Voices
By brentsrich
There's something about rhyming That seems so contrived Beauty to fit Round into square The truth be told With echoes and smiles And roses need noses Or fragrance is lost How clumsy, how crude Seem words with anchors And loud are the voices Of mirrorless lines But do we just wander Less these walls imposed? Structure, form Giving weight to our words And would we find light More precious, more real Were words to ignite And rhymes to reveal?
