A Poet's Truth

By btlore

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Would you forgive a poet,   His eyes fixed on romance, For letting truth escape his stare   And honesty his glance? For always seeing clearly   Those things not really there, For saying that he loves you,   Confusing love with care. It may be true he loves you   Although it should be known, Poets have no flare for truth   So they create their own.None Written October 3rd, 2001 © on Oct 03 2001 02:42 PM PST   0 • 10
