Common fear

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

So worn so torn sobriety Never dwells in these eyes that cannot see Does it burn you like it burns me Charred to the heart just let it be Together forever for now Does it mean so much? Unclean unseen unwanted here Threatening the preservation of their common fear Does it burn you like it burns tears Fiery rain melting the years We’re all forever for now Does it mean so much? Too late to wait tomorrow comes To it’s breath we will succumb Does it burn you like it burns some Bound so tightly we come undone We’ll live forever for now Does it mean so much? Does it burn you like it burns me Doesn't mean so muchFirst attempt at something a little more abstract. What do you think? Written September 1st, 2001 © on Sep 01 2001 03:27 PM PST   0 • 10
