The tears are frozen to my cheek, my eyes wide open against this anonymous tree in these last moments posed in helpless abandonment, worn out the cold, laughing at me in silent amusement; Down the ridge, the light shines from your window illuminating the rest of this frigid hell beckoning me, mocking me in ironic twists ice dreams of your smile, and soft lips; This heart beats slower now, playing out it is filled with you, wrapped around you each beats reminds me that you are so close each breath heavy with frost and regret; I meet the face of Death and his icy stare he waits for me, patience his only acknowledgement maybe he was hiding, just waiting for me knowing my time was up, he quietly hid; And, now with minutes left of this frosty reality I dream of you, and wonder what you will say will your life be different, changed by my end will you ever be happy again, tears stalking you; Ice dreams are all that is left, I now must leave I took a walk, on snowy forest trails bringing you my love, and something to bind us my last glimpse of this world is this ring I bear......
