Gravity brought my great grandfather to this country It was my great grandmothers will Who wrestled the moon, Changing tides Disturbing orbits. She brought him here, but he stayed in Germany. He became a suit in a chair. He’d smoke cigars and exhale great clouds of regret She brought him here, but he Never dreamt America Never put his shoulder to the wheel, Never learned English, Never spoke again - Just exhaled great clouds of enmity.This is a rough rough draft I just wrote.
