Inclimate Hearts
By CarlIVPoetry
Smearing pretty on your face. Racing a clock... Crazed by the hum of her frequency. Tuning out the AM just past three in the morning. Glued my feet to the ground Closed my ears to the sound Stabbing like the thorns from her stem. Wrapping the silver lining, carefully, choking each cloud. Fearing the hail. What will God drop upon me next? Blanketing loose skin over cold porcelain Engraving each tile line in my flesh the smell of mildew, a hair from you. Quivering as I pull each one from the follicle. Never wanting to leave any part of you from me. Decorative grouping of fallen life in pairs. Each piece of us seems to be a couple... Except for the whole. How could you leave me so worthless? At times like this I wish to pawn my soul for relief to this agony. We started with blue skies... Ending in an overcast heart. Written March 11th, 2002 © on Mar 11 2002 03:20 AM PST 0 • 8
