The Animal Man
The animal, man, is as blind as a stone, As deaf as a fence post, As dense as a bone. He sees very little of that which is Subtle; the world of the hornet is less In a muddle. He tunnels through time like a mole in Its burrow, though time is an ocean Awash with tomorrow. His food is too salty, or sweet as Molasses; the air, from his workings Grows thicker with gasses. His senses grew puny when cortex cerebral He grew in his calcium cranium. From my point of view, as a sensitive Beast, I wish he had grew a Geranium.
