Universe, I Am Here

By Carole Dudley

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Universe, I am here among the pebbles of flesh. Reduce a rock and I to our winding phonemes of message. Tell me what we sa y. Free me from the darkness of five senses stewing their single flavors into one     impenetrable message. Free me from the bound ropes of my defeat which lectures to me. Are there birds that sing? Wing flights against the flight yesness fall. Bullets of immorality, vats of creed betray my flesh. The thread of sensuality frays. It breaks. (This poem will self-destruct in 40 years.)
