Staring
By CassieJoeB
Staring at the mirror, Staring at my face, No one really cares. The typical human race. Staring in my eyes, Looking into the soul, Searching for some brace, Hold to completely lose control. Staring at my friends, The ones who really care, Searching for them, But no one is really there. Staring at believers, Looking without faith, Eating the fruit of God, That I never had a taste. Staring at my heart, Deep behind its door, Laughing at the coldness, That reaches for something more. Staring at the knife, Knowing no excuse, Though I fought the battle, We both knew I would lose. Staring at myself, So easy to neglect, I cant hold up a shield, There is nothing to protect. Staring at society, It was never my life, I will finally take it back, On the edge of a knife. © on May 10 2001 10:55 AM PST 0 • 1
