So Mundane.

By Cebeara03

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Slowly opening my eyes, Waking up to the bright sun Outside my window. 6:00 a.m.-so percise. So mundane. Why must life be so routine? Never escaping our safe Comfortable sucess- fearing what may come of leaving it behind. Have you ever wondered, Why we can't just skip life for a day? Can't we just escape from the drone-like voices And the unexcited chatter of the people around? That is our problem, We never look around the corner- Never walk off of that pitiful ledge. I wonder what will become of us then... When we no longer have enough joy in us, To actually enjoy life. No longer do people actually live. How mundane we have become.I don't what insipred this, but it's here! Written February 20th, 2002 © on Feb 19 2002 03:31 PM PST    0 • 10
