Too Deep
By Cebeara03
You think those fake words, That fall from your lips Can hold me captive in your dangerous world again? I'm sorry but I won't be held hostage, I'm not going to retrace those awful steps. I notice you keep going on and on About us Well I'm sorry to tell you, "Us" stopped a long time ago. Right when you made me believe I loved you Then turned your back on me. I've grown up and out of your little phase, And trust me nothing you do or say is going to bring me back, So you can stop acting like that look in your eyes is real. It seems you forgot I can see right through you. I'm tired of all the "I'm sorry"s And all of the trying to be friends. You put yourself into this situation, not me So don't ever blame me for your costly mistakes. You asked me yesterday if I regret meeting you. No, I don't. What I regret is letting my guard down And letting you envelope my entire world. I don't want to hear your voice, I don't want to see your face. Just stop trying to fix this, You have already dug a hole far too deep. Written March 13th, 2002 © on Mar 13 2002 12:03 PM PST 0 • 10
