I remember..

By Celtic Knot

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I remember where you used to sit In laughter, sharing joy in pure youthful happiness In sadness, your tears the tears of a dissapointed child In thought, quietly mumbling the words that sprung to mind In silence, your eyes resting peacefully on the desk. I remember where you used to play In the swings, soaring higher than any had ever swung In the slide, each descent an adventure in your mind In the sand, master-crafting inpenetrable fortresses In the road, your life emptying from the passing of a car. I remember where you used to sit In school, learning and teaching others with your great spirit In life, your existance bringing meaning to your friends In death, a cold empty chair denying warmth to any who sit in it In silence, one that will never be broken again.
