'Last Night'

By christy

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

last night we sucked dry the liquid moon  with our eyes and skin and tongues till we gasped neath the silk of darkness. glowing and giddy, you gave to me your gifts of freedom and blank pages for rewriting myself.  you winged my mind with white feathers, turned gravity to a weak whisper void of language. last night you set me adrift on a sea of nothing and everything, let me dissolve into warm fluid, made me careless and alive.  there, in the graveyard  of questions, you showed me a mirror that for once knew my face.
