A Rosebud

By Cinara

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

A Rosebud I see the flower of beauty in the deepness of your eye Unfolding softly to the starry distance of the sky As though the night surrounds you with a peace you’ve never known For love has touched a rosebud, now the rose is fully grown I see the flush of beauty in the shadows of your face And the sculptor of a woman in a fragile veil of lace So strange the apparition of a child in disguise A fragrant little rosebud in the deepness of her eyes The secrets now have been disclosed, your heart has been embraced By someone dear who saw beyond the beauty of your face The rosebud has unfolded for the sunlight to consume But now your beauty sparkles in the whiteness of the moon And all the stars have recognized The depth of grace within your eyes Written March 17th, 2002 © on Mar 16 2002 06:17 PM PST   0 • 8
