Challenge Description by Silent Wolf: Ok... I don't want to sound too picky but my 2 year anny is comming up and I'm looking for a real sweet poem about a wolf and a dragon (they are mates) The longer the better. The winner will be the one that sparks my interest or hits me the hardest. Character info avaliable in my poem "Wolf and Dragon" or "Silent Wolf" (Dragon's name is Crying Wolf's name is Silent) Black and White Shiny and soft is the coat on her back Star laden sky lights her garment of black Reflecting its sheen in the wintry cold And two mystic eyes, of florescence in gold The night is her element, ebony twin A friend and a sister, their spirits within The night winds will howl through the evergreen trees The black wolf will answer the ancestors pleas In daylight she’s silent, at night she’s alive In nature and darkness her energies thrive As she thrusts her head upward and howls to the moon The spirits come gently at her echoing croon They sing through the winds of a dragon of white Who is maker of crystal ice painted in white Born in the clouds and laid soft on the ground A dragon of calmness in beauty’s surround They whispered a secret to wolf of the wild They said wolf and dragon are each God’s pure child Pursued by the humans, escaping their plight Both creatures of nature, both loved by the night One evening, the black one at midnight had found At the edge of a meadow, deep snow on the ground And there in the woodland a dragon of white A soul mate of nature, a friend of the night They came to each other, and stared in the cold White dragon with black eyes. Black wolf, eyes of gold From the very first moment, they felt a strong love Blessed by the spirits who watched from above Black is the color of hours of night White is the wind driven crystal delight Happy are they in a haven of bliss Black and white love on a night such as this Written February 14th, 2002 © on Feb 13 2002 10:11 PM PST   0 • 10
