I Want To.......

I Want To…. I want to sooth you as the mist has bathed forget-me-nots of blue As nighttime haze drops honey wetness drizzling in dew I want to warm you as the rising sun dissolves the morning mist Radiating through to flowers wanting to be kissed I want to touch you as a butterfly would brush a powdered wing Against the petal softness in the balmy days of spring I want to kiss you as a honey bee lingers ever near To summer flower’s  treasured nectar, sweet and moist and dear I want to hold you like a morning glory wraps its twisting vine Around each crevice of the trellis as it slowly curls and winds I want to love you as the raindrops drench each petal of a rose Dipping it in nourishment of wetness as it grows As lilac spreads its soft perfume From lavender and purple plume As humming bird so sweetly sups From honeysuckle's golden cups Written March 16th, 2002 © on Mar 16 2002 12:02 PM PST   0 • 8
