In Like a Lion - Out Like a Lamb

In Like a Lion - Out Like a Lamb You came in like a lion, so pompous and proud Scanning the room for the usual crowd Talking and laughing and flaunting your charms Facing, embracing each one in your arms I waited my turn just like everyone else My eyes so entranced by your wonderful self Oh, how I cherished you, equal to none And was saddened to think I was not number one You spent the whole evening enchanting the room With your laughter that every one tried to consume So charming, so witty, so handsome, so smart Capturing many a soft empty heart The women all catered to your every whim And I could feel jealousy brewing within They stared at you endlessly, so mesmerized By charisma that twinkled with joy in your eyes By the end of the evening, you finally came And gave me a kiss as you whispered my name Then you closed your blue eyes and your one-year-old charms And left like a lamb in your daddy’s warm arms Written February 25th, 2002 © on Feb 25 2002 09:13 AM PST   0 • 10
