Silent Are the Dreams

Silent Are The Dreams Silent are the dreams that come on tiptoes in the night Silent are desires flaming in a candle’s light Silent are the songs that have been dwelling in my heart My room is wrapped in feather sounds since we have been apart Quiet  is tomorrow’s hope that  rustles in the trees Hushed are whispering verses that are blowing in the breeze Soft is someone’s trembling voice that settled in my ear Unheard are my illusions that are ever drawing near I can hear the murmur in throbbing of my heart Sounds of forest creature’s in the blindness of the dark The babbling of little brook that springs from hillside wells The clear and lovely carillon of  country chapel bells Life is filled with music, though it’s silence that I hear The sound of words unspoken that are loudest to the ear I look into the midnight sky for Jupiter and Mars To chime the love that’s in your heart - but silent are the stars Written February 20th, 2002 © on Feb 19 2002 11:11 PM PST   0 • 8
