. Challenge Description: Write a poem about Spam, the food! Turkey Spam, Ham Spam, do you like it? do you love it? do you want some more of it? mmmmmmm spam!           (S.P.A.M.) Specially Processed Appetizing Meat Spam is the best thing a dollar can yield Especially the very last dollar you wield Folded down in your pocket as deep as you can Abandoned til hunger spurns memories of Spam The thing you were raised on, the meal of the day The staple upon which at grace you would pray Most modest of sirloin, the super mom’s fix The dinner she served in a five minute mix So great and so versatile. Nothing can match The meat that demands a tin key to unlatch A treasure of nourishment locked in a can Marked in bold letters the golden word “SPAM” It’s great in a sandwich, or broiled like fish So tasty in omelets or a casserole dish At galas and cocktails, each time that you dine Dip it in caviar, serve it with wine “How quaint and endearing“, your guests applaud While trying to swallow the treats that they laud The kids say your sandwich is the  best thing around Just add mustard to leftover Spam that you ground With fried eggs and grits, it’s a real tasty treat It fills up your innards with good processed meat Next time you are hungry, and the limit’s a buck Don’t worry, my friend, cause I think you’re in luck Written February 21st, 2002 © on Feb 21 2002 10:46 AM PST   0 • 10
