There is a Time

There is a Time For every man there is a time to ponder his belief There is a time for butterfly to spread its rainbow sheath For new-hatched bird the time will come to stretch a feathered wing For every soul there is a time to hear the angels sing For every heart there is an hour of sorrow to endure And with the darkness comes awareness unperceived before For every night there is a dawn that’s new and fresh and clean That brings a bright perspective that the eye has never seen A passing cloud above the field for moments hides the sun The knots of gnarled grief in time will also come undone So great will be the joy that we will cup our hands to hold The splendor of a lily as its velvet wings unfold Darkness turns to laughter at the time the heart appoints All that passes is a plan the hand of God anoints There is a time to wipe the wetness out of sorrow’s eye There is a time the timid wing will soar into the sky Written March 13th, 2002 © on Mar 13 2002 09:50 AM PST   0 • 10
