Your Breath, Your Eyes, Your Lips (Sonnet)

By Cinara

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Yoour Breath, Your Eyes, Your Lips Your breath is soft and warm against my fears As  honey words of comfort drown the strife And pain that dwells behind the laden tears Slips lightly to the other side of life Endearing eyes so gently touch my heart And open up its windows of delight That harbored love may silently  depart And seize this splendid moment of the night Your lips have wet the parched and barren soul That longs to know of pleasure once again For it has paid a steep and bitter toll Which sweetness of your loving kiss can mend Your breath, your eyes, your lips, are pleasures dear That sing a silent phrase to tender ear Written March 17th, 2002 © on Mar 16 2002 05:52 PM PST   0 • 8
