HIM (Challenge Poem)
By CloudRaven
A perfect rose lay on the dead bush, I watch as his skin goose bumps up as he touch the petal. So gently not wanting to disturb the bloom. Looking at him in his tight jeans and tan skin. I had such an uncontrollable desire to grab him, touch him, taste him, but I stood and stared. A picture of life flashed in front of me. A picture of him and me, of forever after. I wondered what he felt like. Was he as soft as he looked. I walked in the park everyday freeing souls from depression. Breathing in the fresh air as bottles of fresh vibrant water poured from the fountains. I looked at him slowly living the rose, joining reality, my fantasies so very alive. Of holding hands, rubbing skin to skin. I so much wanted to be with him, dreaming of making love, feeling his body, caressing his skin of making my lover cry. He walks out of site, out of view, out of my fantasy life. I will never feel him, know him, love him. Written March 20th, 2002 © on Mar 20 2002 12:27 PM PST 0 • 10
