The Web
By CloudRaven
Come into my parlor said the spider to the fly. I am that fly and you are the spider. And like a fool I listened, I believed, I followed you into your parlor onto the web. And what a mystical place I thought I had found. Instant messages, instant access, instant knowledge, But what about the dark side of the web? Blinded by the magic I never saw it coming. Never realized that I had become trapped Inside your sticky web. Caught up the beauty not seeing the ugliness. The mask that your web allows us to wear, to trick To hurt, to abuse the innocent. Caught up in your sticky web, I stare at the screen unable to Realize myself from your grasp. As the spider lures the next victim into the web.
