Children at the table with Boyardee or bacon in the skillet (cheese toast if it snowed) chatterings behind the aluminum tumblers Then, with a breathy slobber, siblings whisper in hushed stressed laughter, (things that Mother can’t hear)- we belly laughs to tears Toe to toe, ‘neath  broken chairs, feet touch in this funny for keeps the secret forever sealed from youth’s treasury joys hardly ever returned chiseled mem’ries in jeweled stone~ Vanilla thoughts from yesterday's vaults!Written March 12th, 2002 © on Oct 30 2002 11:19 AM PST, M.
