The River
By coral85
The River Lives, Winding Rims, Flowing Trees, Must Believe, The Sky Is Channeling, the Water Breeze, The Water Lives, And It Gives, Life To Us, And We Begin, To Find Our Place, Beside It's Grace, The Winding Rim, Of Its Banks, To Ease Our Mind, We Give Our Thanks, To the River, And Its Banks. It Noutured, Our Living Race. But Now We Pollute, It's Water's Face, We've Begun, To ruin it's Place, The Trees Die, Ruined Our Tides, We Wonder Why, Our Waters Die, Because Our Grace, Does Not Embrace, The Winding Waters, Rim And Base. This isn't in the usual line-comma-line-period form. I made it continue with a comma over and over again to flow like a river naturally would. Written November 6th, 2001 © on Nov 06 2001 10:11 AM PST 10 • 0 • 13
