Alone in dim lit he caught her thought - sinewy new stranger passed by. “Whiskey for my men, water for the horses.” Barkeep poured a shot of rye. Awakened heart beating faster, she flirts with her gypsy self in the mirror. Magdalene magic of Recrossed-hiked skirt, twisted curl at the ear. “Come here often, do ya?” “Only on drinking days, ma’am,” moved closer, thigh to thigh. “Are you taken darlin, “need another round?” looked her liquid eye to eye. “ Free, white and twenty-one,” through white tendrilled smoke, her most provocative smile. “You’re mine now!”- plastered a cocktail napkin to her breast – somehow she like his style. “Souvenir,” she says as she tucks it in cleavage, lipsticked the front of his shirt. “You’re hittin my limit,’ both laughed lover’s laughs as his hand went under her skirt. “We need be leaving, just another quick shot, my car is the big Monterey.” “No need to drive, I live upstairs, besides it’s a stay-in type day.
