Peter quoting Old Testament Joel about speaking in tongues, “God will pour His spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and daughters shall prophecy and see visions and your old men dream dreams. The mountains shall drip sweet wine, the hills shall flow with milk and all the stream beds shall flow with water and a fountain shall come forth from the House of the Lord.” I ponder the poignant moisture of this spirit often, when pouring wine or making love, but always when the mist, the tongue, the words ascend the trite and mundane.
